Zirconia Snow Plow Shoes: Lasted longer than one season compared to steel shoes which lasted only an eight hour shift. Zirconia ceramic inserts were brazed onto a standard steel shoe and placed in service on the rural roads (2/3rd dirt and 1/3rd paved roads). At the end of the season (and miles of snow plowing), the ceramic shoes showed no sign of wear.
